Tourist hotspots flourish in ‘Fabulous Fortnight’

Jaipur: The fabulous fortnight period, spanning from December 16 to 31, has kicked off on an impressive note with over 30,000 tourists flocking to the state capital.

This time is considered a golden period for the travel trade in the desert state during which the state witnesses a staggering influx of more than 50,000 tourists daily.

On December 16, over 30,000 tourists visited Pink City, with an additional 20,000 exploring various cities across Rajasthan. Notably, popular tourist destinations like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, , Udaipur, and Sariska are witnessing a surge in bookings, reaching a point where “no rooms” are available after December 20. Mount Abu and Jawai are also experiencing excellent bookings, with hotels, nature retreats, camping sites, and wildlife accommodations fully booked.

The increased demand has led to a 3 to 4 times rise in hotel and resort tariffs. Rajasthan Tourism Corporation’s hotels are also witnessing a significant influx, and a series of events and programs are planned for Christmas and New Year from the 20th onwards.
