SAINT VIJAY REFERRED TO DELHI HOSPITAL VIA GREEN CORRIDOR

Jaipur: Saint Baba Vijay Das, who set himself ablaze in Bharatpur on Wednesday during the protest over mining activity in the area, was shifted from SMS Hospital to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital for advanced treatment on Thursday.

A green corridor was created to shift the injured saint to Delhi. Vijay Das was accompanied by a team of doctors in the ambulance. Sources informed that Baba Vijay Das was earlier scheduled to be airlifted from Jaipur, but due to the time taking process, it was decided to create a green corridor and send him by road. Notably, the saint sustained more than 85 per cent burn injuries and is in critical condition since then. Following this, doctors advised government officials to send him to Delhi. According to the doctors, Safdarjung hospital is known for its treatment of burn injuries. After consulting with doctors in Safdarjung hospital, Baba Vijay Das was shifted to Delhi.
