RAJ’S ‘FANTASTIC 4’ TO HEAD FOR DELHI DEPUTATION?

Jaipur: Four senior IAS officers of Principal Secretary rank of Rajasthan cadre may be on their way for central deputation where all of them will be accorded the post of Joint Secretary.

These officers are 1995 batch Praveen Gupta, 1996 batch Ajitabh Sharma and Rajesh Kumar Yadav and 1998 batch Subir Kumar.

Among these, Subir Kumar has been given permission to go on deputation in the current month whereas Praveen Gupta was given permission one year back while Ajitabh Sharma and Rajesh Kumar Yadav have been accorded the NOC 2 months back.

Subir Kumar is currently serving as Secretary to Governor and on January 1, 2022, he was promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary.

He has been serving in the Raj Bhawan since September 2019. It is worth noting that from the Rajasthan cadre, as of today, 5 IAS are on Secretary post and five others are on Additional Secretary post in Delhi whereas there is no officer on the Join Secretary post in Delhi.

Notably, 1987 batch Veenu Gupta is empanelled for the post of Secretary and may get a call from New Delhi anytime, however, as of now, she is a contender for the post of Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, the position which will go vacant on January 31 as current Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya will retire.
