2 IPS officers promoted to rank of DG

Jaipur: Two IPS officers Sanjay Kumar Agrawal and Hemant Priyadarshy have been promoted to the rank of DG. Both the officers are from the 1992 batch. Agrawal is currently posted as ADG, Intelligence. Priyadarshy was officiating as the DG ACB and was relieved of the charge after RP Meharda took over as a fulltime DG.

Priyadarshy is now posted as ADG, SCRB and Cyber Crime. With this, there are now 8 DG level officers in Rajasthan cadre of which 6 are serving in in Rajasthan. These are DGP UR Sahoo, DG CISF Nina Singh, DG BPRD Rajeev Kumar Sharma, DG ACB RP Mehrada, DG Training and Community Policing Janga Srinivas Rao, DG Home Guard Rajesh Nirwan.
