Governor Mishra stresses on need to develop tribal areas

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Thursday reviewed the development schemes of scheduled areas in Raj Bhavan. During the meeting, the governor directed the officials that there is a need to work for the development of people of tribal areas to eradicate poverty and bring them into the mainstream.

“There are immense possibilities of tourism in tribal areas. If tourist places are developed and adequate publicity is done, then it will give a boost to tourism in these areas. It is necessary to raise the social, economic, and educational levels of the people of tribal areas. For this, efforts should be made in a coordinated manner at the level of various departments,” said Governor Mishra.

Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur and Commissioner of Tribal Regional Development Department, Rajendra Bhatt also presented the financial progress of the tribal sub-plan area in the meeting.
