Crackdown on Cyber Crime: 28 FIRs, 240 miscreants held in Raj

Jaipur/Dausa: In the police’s two-day campaign against cyber thugs, 28 FIRs were registered and 240 criminals were arrested from Mewat and Jamtada region, the hub of cybercrime. The police seized 152 mobiles, 104 ATM cards, 89 SIM cards, 10 chequebooks, 40 passbooks, 01 motorcycle, 06 laptops, 01 car and Rs 4.85 lakh cash. The raid action conducted at the state level was taken on the instructions of DGP UR Sahoo. The action was taken in compliance with points discussed in DP-IG Conference and Cyber Hackathcon 1.0.

Similarly arrests in Dungarpur have been made in fake escort service case, while people involved in fake call centres were exposed in Ajmer and Jodhpur. During raids in Alwar, 5 FIRs were registered against cyber fraudsters. 29 people having links with cyber frauds from UP were raided in Deeg, 9 FIRs were registered & 49 mobile phones, 35 SIM cards, 31 ATMs, 1 Hyundai car and Rs 4.85 lakh in cash were seized.
