Dholpur: In a fresh development, SP Shivraj Meena has negated charges of a woman being gangraped in Dholpur. After a three-day investigation, Meena said that every aspect of the case was thoroughly probed. However, he said that the woman was assaulted.
This complaint was registered at Kanchanpur police station. Meena said that investigation revealed that on March 15, while returning from the farm, 6-7 people of the village had assaulted the woman and her husband. The accused who assaulted the woman have been identified.
The SP has assured to arrest the accused soon. Rehana Riyaz, Chairperson of the State Commission for Women on Monday reached Dholpur and inspected the spot and also talked to the victim, the District Collector and the SP. Riyaz said the matter is being monitored by top officers and action will be taken soon.
