BTS Jin confirms his date of military enlistment; requests ARMYs not to gather citing the crowd could become dangerous

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Bangtan Sonyeondan or widely known as BTS has finally revealed that they will be going for their mandatory military enlistment. Though all seven boys will not go together they will be enlisting one by one. This will make sure their music careers would not suffer while they also complete their two-year service. The hyung i.e., the eldest of the group, Kim Seokjin who goes by the stage name Jin will be the first one to bid his fans adieu. While everyone knew he will be enlisting by the end of the year, the exact date was unknown.

However, a recent news article that has been doing the rounds on the internet stated that the singer will be enlisting on December 13. A South Korean daily newspaper, namely, Aju Business Daily reported that unnamed military officials stated Jin will be deployed to a unit after receiving five weeks of training at the boot camp. Soompi reports industry representatives said Jin will attend a recruit training centre in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province.

Addressing these claims, Jin took to the photo-sharing site, Weverse on Thursday and confirmed the news. He further requested the army not to rush to the training centre as it could become dangerous. One fan, @btstranslation7 posted the translation of the post on Twitter. It said, “There's an article out there that I hadn't planned on being published.. in any case, ARMYs, I ask that you please refrain from coming to the training centre. There will be many other people there and it could get dangerous with a big crowd. Army I love you.”

Hybe label, the company that handles BTS also released their statement regarding the same. Quoting them, Soompi wrote, “It is difficult to confirm. We ask for your generous understanding.”

There had been a lot of speculation surrounding the exemption of BTS’ mandatory military service for years now. Finally addressing the issue, BTS announced in October that they will be going for their mandatory military service, starting with Jin. During this time, the group will be pursuing their individual careers and reunite in 2025.
