There is ‘undercurrent’ for change in ongoing LS Poll, says Sachin Pilot

Tonk: Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot said on Wednesday that there is an ‘undercurrent’ for change in the ongoing Lok Sabha election. He also said that the BJP is now on the ‘back foot’ after first phase of the elections and it will remain behind claims it makes.

“I have been to many districts of the state. I have gone to many states in the entire country. Everywhere I see a need for change among the people. There is uneasiness, and undercurrent for change and because of this, BJP will remain far behind the claims it makes,” Pilot told reporters in Tonk in response to low turnout in the first phase of LS Poll in Rajasthan. He further said, “Looking at the feedback received after the first phase of voting, seeing the speeches of BJP leaders, I feel that somewhere the BJP is on the backfoot today. The public is not satisfied and I feel that this election is an election of change.”

He claimed that not only in Rajasthan but all over India, wherever INDIA alliance is contesting elections, its candidates have an edge. He said that in second phase on April 26, the performance of the Congress party will be much better than before.
