SS Rajamouli compare his collaboration with Mahesh Babu with James Bond and Indiana Jones

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Just a few weeks after releasing his globally successful film, RRR, SS Rajamouli announced that he will be making a film with none other than superstar Mahesh Babu. In a statement, the filmmaker revealed that it will be an action adventure and temporarily named it SSMB29, however, the script has not been finalised yet. They are working on two stories right now, he revealed.

Rajamouli recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival where he spoke about his upcoming film. Comparing it to films such as James Bond and Indiana Jones, the Bahubali maker revealed that it would have the touch of such classics with Indian elements.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, he revealed at the event, “My next film with Mahesh Babu will be a globetrotting action adventure. It’s going to be a kind of James Bond or Indiana Jones film with Indian roots.” Writer and father of SS Rajamouli, KV Vijayendra previously revealed that they have not yet finished working on the script but that it will be shot against the jungle backdrop. He further suggested that the filming will begin in 2023 as Mahesh Babu is currently busy with some work commitments. Some reports even suggest that majority of the movie will be filmed in Africa.

During a recent media appearance, Mahesh Babu revealed how excited he was to collaborate with SS Rajamouli. The filmmaker said, “It’s a dream come true for me to work with him. Doing one film with Rajamouli Garu is like taking up 25 films at once. It’s going to be physically demanding and I’m really excited about it. It’s going to be a pan-India film. I hope we break many barriers and take our work to audiences across the country.”
