One lakh crore rupees agricultural infrastructure fund will create new employment opportunities: PM Modi

On Sunday, while launching the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund worth Rs 1 lakh crore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this will provide modern facilities to the villages and create new employment opportunities. He said that 10,000 new FPOs will also be opened.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that with the help of the Rs 1 lakh crore Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, modern facilities will be available in the villages and this will create new employment opportunities. PM Modi on Sunday launched the Finance Facility for Agriculture Sector.

And also released the sixth installment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in the account of about 8.5 crore farmers. During this, he said that a big plan has been prepared to promote the famous products of every district.

These products will be delivered to the markets of the country and abroad under the self-sufficient Bharat scheme.

Prime Minister Modi said, 'Today a special fund of Rs 1 lakh crore has been released. This will provide better storage, modern cold storage chains in villages and new employment opportunities in rural areas.

This will help set up farmers' groups, farmers committee, FPO to build warehouse and cold storage and food processing related industries in villages.

He further said that these modern infrastructure will help in setting up agro-based industries going forward. A big scheme has been prepared under the self-sufficient Bharat campaign, in which the famous product of each district will be transported to the markets of India and abroad.

The Prime Minister said, 'Who will operate agro-based industries? Most of its stake will go to the Farmers Production Organization (FPO). In the coming years, emphasis will be laid on creating 10,000 new FPOs.

He said that 350 agricultural startups will be supported for food processing, artificial intelligence, internet of things, smart farming equipment and renewable energy. The basic objective of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is being fulfilled.

The Prime Minister said, “Today, 17,000 crores were transferred to the account of 8.5 crore farmers in just one click. There is no intermediary or commission role in this, it is directly passed on to the farmers.

I am satisfied because the basic objective of this scheme is being fulfilled. Today every farmer family is getting help at the right time. In the last year and a half, 75 thousand crore rupees have been directly transferred to the farmers' account. Of this, 22 thousand crore rupees have been transferred only during a lockdown.

The PM said that all the problems related to farmers and farmers are being solved under self-sufficient India. Work on the mission of 'Ek Mandi' for the country has been going on for the last 7 years. It is now complete.

A large technology-based system has been developed under the first e-NAM. Now with the enactment of the law, farmers also got the benefit of mandi tax. Farmers have many options. Now depending on them, where do they want to sell their crop. Or deliver directly to the warehouse.
