KCR’s bets on national aspiration to win state assembly elections!

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced to change the name of his party Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi. He had fixed an auspicious time for this and on October 5, on the day of Dussehra, at 1.19 o’clock, he announced to change the name of TRS to BRS. Earlier, he met leaders of Tamil Nadu’s party VCK and Karnataka’s JDS. Before that, he has been meeting leaders of opposition parties across the country. Now he has announced that he will do national level politics by forming Bharat Rashtra Samiti and will try to make Bharat Rashtra Samiti a national party. However, the reality is that his party is one of the few renowned regional parties who have no influence outside Telangana. All parties like NCP, Trinamool, Shiv Sena, JDU, RJD, AAP have organizations in more than one state. DMK is also in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. But TRS does not have any organization outside Telangana. So how will the change from regional to national party become a possibility? That’s why it seems that he has done this work to create a message of Telangana pride for the party workers and the people of the state before the assembly elections to be held next year. He wants to send the message that he can be the face at the all India level and can also be the prime ministerial candidate from the opposition side. Through this, he will appeal to the people of the state to win them the assembly elections and then he will take the Telugu identity to the whole country in the Lok Sabha elections. In fact, all his worries are about winning the next year’s election. For this, elections were held before time last time and this time the narrative is of national politics.
