Jodhpur: IT raid on big-time contractors

Jodhpur: In a major action, the Income Tax department raided the premises of some big-time contractors of the city on Tuesday.

The raids were going on in their properties here as well as in Jaipur till the last report.

A team of IT sleuths from Jaipur reached the city in the morning and began surveying the properties belonging to Pappu Ram Dara, Patram Vishnoi, Om Prakash Vishnoi and others as well as at the office of Mundan Constructions here.

The persons and business establishments, where the raids are being conducted, are quite known names and their annual turnover runs into crores of rupees. The IT officials have, however, maintained a studied silence over the raids.
