Induction of Tejas Mark 1A soon: DRDO Chief

Jodhpur: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) chairman Dr Sameer V Kamat reached Jodhpur on Wednesday to participate in “Tarang Shakti 2024”, a multinational air exercise in Jodhpur.

The main event will take place at the Air Force Station on Thursday. The exercise is a significant event for DRDO.

“DRDO is a significant participant in this exercise. It is very encouraging to see multiple countries participating in the exercise,“ he said.

DRDO Chief also informed that induction of Tejas Mark 1A will start soon. He also highlighted progress of indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft, stating that 40 units have been accepted so far in the project.

(DRDO) chairman Dr Sameer V Kamat will attend the Defence Expo scheduled for today, where Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will review the event.
