Web Series on Adi Shankaracharya, poster out, set to release soon

India's first-ever web series on Adi Shankaracharya is all set for its much-anticipated release, marking a significant milestone in digital content. This social historical series is presented by The Art of Living, Sri Sri publication Trust and ONM Multimedia has produced it. This unique series is written and directed by Onkar Nath Mishra.The project promises to offer a cinematic portrayal of the life and works of our greatest ever National hero Shri Aadi Shankaracharya who re-established Sanatan Dharma and united the nation in the 8th century.
The first season of this series, spanning 10 episodes, will explore the early life of Shri Aadi Shankaracharya. Shot across multiple breathtaking locations in India, it features extensive sets, cutting-edge VFX, and a gripping narrative. The series is expected to captivate audiences with its detailed recreations, larger-than-life sets, and powerful performances.
Season 1 revolves around his childhood, showing how an eight-year-old boy, born in turbulent times, renounced worldly considerations and embarked on a journey that eventually united India politically, spiritually, and culturally.
 The show boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Arnav Khanijo as the young Shankaracharya, and veterans such as Gagan Malik, Sandip Mohan and Yogesh Mahajan etc.

The director, Onkar Nath Mishra stated, “The  world is suffering today from religious fanaticism, terrorism, communalism, casteism, opportunism, division, deceit, lack of faith, and various sinister designs. Shri Shankar’s philosophy is answer to all these problems which are confronting humanity all over the world.This series aims to connect today’s youth with the greatest ever our national hero whose ideology is the only relevant philosophy in today’s time.”
Mishra further adds, “After completion of season 1, I am super exited to the completion of season-2 which has ensemble cast with greater exposure of Shri Aadi Shankaracharya’s latter life.”

Manish Wadhwa, known for his recent role as the antagonist in Gadar 2, plays Aadi Shankaracharya’s Guru in season 2, which has already wrapped up filming.

When India was divided in more than 300 states,72 sects of religion were practiced, Shri Aadi Shankaracharya emerged on the national scene, who in short span of his 32 years of life, by sheer power of his knowledge, merged all the 72 sects in his philosophy of Adwait (oneness) and united all the 300 states in such a way that for next 200 years no invader dared to attack.The Culture of peace love and non-violence India is known for was protected and re-established by him. Aadi Shankaracharya is the greatest ever, most charismatic, spiritual, philosophical, political, economic, literary, social and cultural youth leader who re-constructed India single handedly.
