EXCLUSIVE! Rajiv Adatia: I know I am a bit crazy

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Rajiv Adatia is one of the most prominent personalities in the entertainment industry and has made his name across the country. Right from his very influential stint on Bigg Boss, the entertainer has made his way to the top in a short span of time. Rajiv recently sat down with First India to share about his journey, Bigg Boss, his dreams and more.

Talking about his journey, he said, “When I was 18, I was a model. I don’t look like one now but I was then! And my Dad passed away at the time. After that, I got into the business and opened a wedding company. I then opened an events company because all the models used to come to London and ask me for work. It immediately clicked with me that this could be business. So, I helped many get magazine deals and photoshoots when in London.”

“Now, I was born in London and did my schooling there. So, going into Bigg Boss was very sporadic. I just got a call from the makers that we want you in the show. Firstly, I was shocked as to why they wanted me, so, I asked them. They told me that they wanted an entertainment package for the show and I will really enjoy it there. Initially, I denied them because I was scared of going inside. There was a fear that I wouldn’t have control over what is going on outside. I talked to my mother and she encouraged me as it was totally my thing and I would enjoy it there. So, I finally said my yes,” he shared about his Bigg Boss journey.

He stated that he was born with his ick to entertain the people around him. “I know I am a bit crazy.”

He further revealed that the reason behind his positive attitude is that he does not want to show his sorrow to people. “My father’s death was the biggest pain in my life. I have also received a lot of betrayal from people. People have used me and I have forgiven them. I am the kind of person that lets things go. Everyone goes through that journey of pain and finding yourself.”

He mentioned that Karan Kundrra, Neha Bhasin, Rashami Desai and Umar Riaz were some of his closest friends from the Bigg Boss house. He also stated that though many of the established industry people such as Neetu Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty supported him thoroughly, he somewhere lacked the support of the audience.

Talking about his dreams, he said, “I think I want to entertain people more. I want to do something to change. God is very clever. He gives you this platform for a reason. And he can also steal it away from you. Now that God has given me such a good platform, I want to do something good with it. Bring some awareness about things, and help people. Those are my biggest dreams.”
