Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv clarifies heart attack rumours; says the actor only had mild heart discomfort

Chennai: Fans of Chiyaan Vikram were left worried about the rumours that stated the actor was rushed to Kauvery hospital in Chennai after suffering a heart attack. Ahead of the teaser launch of his next film, Ponniyin Selvan-1, Vikram complained of chest discomfort and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Now, the actor’s son, Dhruv Vikram has come out to dismiss the rumours and clarify Chiyaan Vikram’s health.

Stating that his father did not suffer a heart attack but had mild discomfort, Dhruv wrote, “Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He did not have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumours to this effect. That being said, we request you to give our family the privacy we need at this time. Our Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumours will be put to rest.”

Reports suggest that doctors performed an angioplasty after he complained of mild chest discomfort. This may come as comforting news to all his fans and the actor has several projects lined up as well.
