BJP projects Yediyurappa as its regional leader!

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party is now learning about the ground realities of Karnataka. Karnataka is not important to the BJP just because it has a government there and it will be better if the government comes. What worries the BJP even more is that the BJP has won 25 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The BJP has only 29 seats out of 120 in all the southern states, of which 25 are from Karnataka alone. So BJP cannot afford any loss here. That is why along with winning the assembly elections that are due in May next year, a strategy is being prepared to repeat the former success, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as well.

It is being told that BJP’s Karnataka strategy is completely in the hands of BS Yediyurappa. He was recently made a member of the BJP’s parliamentary board and through him the message has been given to the ‘strong’ Lingayat community of the state that the party has not sidelined Yeddyurappa, but increased his stature. After that Prime Minister Modi went to Karnataka and gave a tremendous preference to Yeddyurappa. He held his hand and talked for a long time. Not only this, he made him sit on the stage next to the governor and allowed him to be the focus throughout the programme. It is being told that the election strategy and ticket distribution will be done according to Yeddyurappa. BJP knows that only Yediyurappa can do any miracle in Karnataka. Anyway, he himself has announced his retirement, so the party leadership is not worried about him and it is being said that both his sons will definitely get a good position.
