Wedding planners, event firms raided; `7 cr seized

Jaipur: The Income Tax department officials conducted raids at 22 locations of businessmen involved in tent, wedding planning and event management works in Jaipur and seized cash worth Rs 7 crore 25 lakh and a kilogram of gold.

A total of 20 lockers are on the radar of the department. According to sources, other items seized are several digital documents on phones, laptops, e -mails and cloning. Raids were conducted on locations of the owner of Gulmohar Luxury Wedding Venue at Kookas Road, Taluka Tent House and related businesses, Wedding Planners Bhavna Charan, Gunjan Singhal, Mukesh Sharma, Akhilesh Sharma, Preetesh Sharma of Mapsor and Anand Khandelwal of The Indian Wedding Planner.
