ACB ASP put on APO for clean chit to ex-UDH Minister

Jaipur: The State government has removed Additional SP Surendra Singh from Anti-Corruption Bureau and put him Awaiting Posting Orders (APO) status.

The action was taken after a clean chit was given to former UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal in single lease deed case. Singh was the OIC of the case.

Earlier, the Rajasthan High Court had allowed the withdrawal of a petition filed by the complainant seeking CBI inquiry in the Ekal Patta case. Surendra Singh, son of the complainant who has passed away, had filed an application in this regard in the High Court.

At the same time, the court also gave liberty to RTI activist Ashok Pathak, who had filed an application to become a party, to file a petition seeking a fresh CBI probe. UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal, former IAS officer GS Sandhu, and others including Onkar Mal Saini and Nishkam Diwakar were named accused in the case.
