Masaba Gupta reveals how Neena Gupta helped her overcome her fears
Masaba Gupta, a well-known actress and fashion designer, revealed a significant life lesson that she learnt from her mother, star Neena Gupta, who served as her first storyteller, and how this has shaped her basic values and remained with her even now.
As Masaba reveals, “As a child, I was afraid of the dark. I remember as a 4-year-old, I was scared to go to sleep. Every night, Mum would hold me tight and recite the Gayatri Mantra with me and put me to sleep no matter how busy she was. On one such night, she explained the meaning of the Gayatri Mantra and the power it holds. That is something that has stayed with me. To this date when I fear something or am taking up something new, I chant it, remember my mum and take a step forward. It is her support and her love that walks with me every day. It is a trick that always comes in handy!”
“Today, whoever I am is because of the values I imbibed through her stories,” Masaba joins ZEE in inviting people to share memories about their moms that have stuck with them for life and take part in this great campaign by sharing this priceless life lesson that she acquired from her mother Neena.
The recently released film by ZED brilliantly illustrates the frequently underappreciated function of a mother as a child's first storyteller. The movie discusses how moms encourage their kids' curiosity by telling them stories that will pique their interest in life. After all, our mother's very first stories are what form our basic values, mold us, and ultimately mold society.
