SHEKHAWAT SHOULD COME FORWARD, GIVE JUSTICE TO VICTIMS, SAYS GEHLOT

Jodhpur: After statement of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the Rs 953 crores Sanjeevani credit scam has again come into the limelight. Gehlot has accused Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat of having links with the Sanjeevani Credit Cooperative Society, which is accused of looting the investors’ money.

Gehlot said that if Shekhawat was sensing danger he could have written to the State government and security would have been provided. “What was the need for Shekhawat to seek security from the central government. It is a matter for the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to think about. Shekhawat is an accused. He himself should come forward and clarify the situation. If Shekhawat has taken Z-category security, then I believe he is an accused in the scam. He was afraid that the SOG might arrest him. This is a serious matter.
