Rural Olympic is connecting youth with sports: K Poonia

Bikaner: Sports Council president Krishna Poonia on Tuesday took stock of the preparations on the university campus and also discussed with the Divisional Commissioner, District Collector regarding the CM’s visit. 

In a special conversation with First India News, Poonia said that the Rajasthan govt is doing good work for the players. “The Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games attempts to connect the youths with sports,” she said, adding that BJP has made efforts but there has not been satisfactory result.

CM Ashok Gehlot will be in Bikaner on July 15 and will flag off the torch of the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games. He will also inaugurate Mahatma Gandhi’s statue, auditorium and indoor sports stadium. Also, the foundation stone of Bikaner urban mega project, to be built at a cost of Rs 614 crore, will be laid.
