RS1.5 crore fake currency seized in Bikaner, 6 held

Bikaner: The Bikaner Police on Saturday detained six people with counterfeit currency notes worth Rs. 1.5 crore. The accused printed fake currency notes of Rs 2,000 and Rs. 500 denomination and were planning to circulate them.

Police informed that high quality paper used for printing counterfeit currency notes were also recovered from the possession of the accused.

“The fake currency notes were used in Hawala trade by the six accused. Three of the accused belong to Nokha, while others are from Bikaner,” said Bikaner IG Om Prakash.
