Rapid police response leads to arrest in Dausa minor rape case

Dausa: The Dausa Police on Saturday arrested a man who was accused of raping a six-year-old minor girl during a marriage ceremony in Dausa on Thursday. Police informed the accused, identified as Anil Kumar Meena, a resident of Dausa, raped the girl in an intoxicate state and then fled from the spot.

“The accused does not have a criminal record but he is addicted to drinking and has criminal tendencies. Ten teams, comprising 250 police officials, were formed and the accused was arrested,” said Additional SP Bajrang Singh Shekhawat. “While leaving the marriage garden, a masked young man came and handed over the unconscious girl to her grandmother and ran away from there. Later, ot was found that the victim was raped,” added Bajrang Singh Shekhawat.
