Om Birla receives heroic welcome in Kota-Bundi
Kota: Om Birla, re-elected as the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, received a grand and emotional welcome in Kota-Bundi. The entire Hadoti region came out in large numbers, offering flowers, aartis, and heartfelt blessings. The journey, which usually takes around 2 hours, took Birla several hours to cover 80 km due to the overwhelming crowd.
People lined the streets, offered garlands, and celebrated his arrival like a festival, distributing sweets, bursting fireworks, and performing turban ceremonies. Women, from elderly mothers to young daughters, performed aarti and showered flowers, expressing their pride and love. Birla, moved by the affection, especially became emotional remembering his late parents. The city’s enthusiasm mirrored the excitement of his first visit as Speaker five years ago, highlighting Birla’s deep connection with the people. The entire route was filled with welcome gates and congratulatory flexes, with people eager to meet and honor him despite the delay.
