NO MORE VIP DARSHANS IN TEMPLE

Sikar: Following the death of three women devotees in a stampede outside the Khatu Shyamji temple in Sikar, the district administration on Monday agreed to stop VIP darshans and to make government parking free. It was also agreed upon to open the temple 24 hours on Saturday, Sunday, Ekadashi and Dwadashi. During the fairs, there will be participation of the local people.

The Raj govt has also ordered an inquiry into the Khatu Shaymji temple incident by the divisional commissioner. District collector Avichal Chaturvedi said that lakhs of devotees visit the temple every year and elaborate arrangements for crowd control are made but for this incident every aspect will be examined. The decisions were taken after Dantaramgarh MLA Virendra Singh alleged money in lieu of darshans. District collector Avichal Chaturvedi and SP Kunwar Rashtradeep held a meeting with Choudhary and some of the demands were still to be agreed on.
