LAWYERS BOYCOTT WORK IN SIKAR TO PROTEST AGAINST ADVOCATE’S DEATH, DEMANDED URGENT INVESTIGATION

Sikar: Lawyers in Sikar on Friday boycotted the judicial work in protest against the alleged harassment of Advocate Hansraj Mavliya by a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) in Khandela (Sikar), following which he committed suicide by immolating himself on Thursday. The protesting lawyers reached Khandela SDM court on Friday and raised slogans against the local administration and SDM. The lawyers demanded that the matter should be investigated at the earliest. Sikar Bar Association President Rajendra Kumar Sharma said that lawyers are outraged after Thursday’s incident. “We demand justice for Hansraj Mavliya. Most of the lawyers boycotted the judicial work in the district while protesting against the incident,” said Rajendra Kumar Sharma. Bar association of Dantaramgarh has also decided to boycott the judicial work for four days.
