Guv highlights importance of cows in Indian tradition

Pali: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday emphasized the significance of Guru and cow in Indian culture. He stressed that the cow holds a special place in Indian traditions, citing examples of Lord Krishna and Lord Shankar’s reverence for Nandani and Nandi.

Mishra highlighted the importance of cows in the Vedic period highlighting how students in Gurukuls were taught to regard them as mothers.

The governor, while speaking at a programme in Pali, asserted that cow worship is akin to worshipping all gods, as each part of the cow is considered divine.

He emphasized that societies prosper when they protect cows. Mishra also underlined the need for human values and the welfare of all living beings as timeless principles.

He praised the contributions of donors and urged everyone to work together to elevate India’s status.
MP PP Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya, Pali MLA Gyanchand Parakh and other leaders were also present in the programme.
