Guv calls for livestock product marketing

Bikaner: Governor Kalraj Mishra, while addressing the 7th convocation of Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) in Bikaner on Monday, said that in the light of the new education policy, initiatives should be taken for new courses for entrepreneurship development in the sector. He called upon the university to do marketing along with processing of livestock products.

Mishra said that increasing population, decreasing agricultural holdings, shortage of water and other natural resources are challenges for us. “Only livestock and animal products can prove to be a boon in terms of nutrition. There is a need to promote small and medium enterprises in the food and dairy industry,” he said.

He lauded the university for its commendable work in the field of veterinary education and research.
