Fake drug racket busted, two arrested

Barmer: A team of the central bureau of narcotics on Monday cracked down on a fake drug racket in the bordering Barmer district. Besides seizing huge quantities of fake drugs, the team also arrested two accused in the case.

Officials close to the development said that the raid was conducted following an input and further said that the team is now trying to crack more details of the racket.

The team produced both accused before the court from where they were sent to judicial custody.
According to the information, the team of Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) Delhi has taken major action against illegal drug trafficking Barmer.

The team seized 40 cartoons of drugs and spurious medicines from Barmer city. The team also arrested two accused and also seized two bikes and a car. Officials who refused to come on record said that the CNB team had received a tip-off and a complaint that a large number of intoxicating and spurious medicines are being sold openly in Barmer.

Following this, the team initially gathered information and on Monday raided a house at Uttarlai Road in Barmer. The team had seized a consignment of 40 cartoons of different narcotics and spurious medicines.
