Chief Secretaries and DGPs of 6 states discuss LS polls measures

Jaipur: Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant addressed a video conference on Wednesday with the Chief Secretaries, Directors General of Police, and Principal Secretaries (Home) of the neighboring states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. The meeting discussed preparations related to law and order, among other issues, in view of the LS polls.

The CS emphasized the need for coordination among all neighboring states, including Rajasthan, to ensure that the Lok Sabha elections are conducted independently, impartially, and transparently.

Utkal Ranjan Sahoo, the Director General of Police, stated that the police force is taking effective measures statewide to ensure a peaceful election process. Identification of sensitive areas and assessment of law and order situations have been conducted to allocate central police forces district-wise.
