Centre should soon declare ERCP as a nat’l project, says CM Ashok Gehlot

Gangapur City: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Monday that unique public welfare schemes of the State government are being discussed everywhere now. CM said that ERCP is very important for common people and farmers in 13 districts of State. “This scheme will ensure water supply for drinking water and irrigation in a large area of Rajasthan. State govt is continuously demanding from Centre to give it the status of national project. The Central Government should soon declare ERCP as a national project,” he said. The CM said State govt is providing relief from inflation by providing gas cylinders for `500 to about 76 lakh families, including families associated with Ujjwala scheme. “Centre should also provide gas cylinders to families for `500 under the Ujjwala scheme,” CM said.
