BSF jawan martyred in West Bengal, cremated

Ajmer: BSF jawan Chhotu Ram Jat (42) from Tilonia in Ajmer district, who was martyred in West Bengal, was cremated with honours at his native village Tilonia on Wednesday afternoon. His 15-year-old son Deependra Chaudhary lit the funeral pyre. Before this, the armed soldiers gave him the last salute. Jat was martyred in an encounter with Naxalites on 18 Feb.

The mortal remains of the Chhotu Ram Jat reached Kishangarh late on Tuesday and were kept in Marble City Hospital. On Wednesday morning, in the presence of hundreds of people, the mortal remains left for Tilonia village in an army vehicle amidst cheers of ‘ Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

Jat’s last journey passed through the main market of Kishangarh and reached Tilonia village, about 11 kilometers away
