Birla reviews crop loss in rain-hit areas of Kota

Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday visited rain-hit areas of Kota and inspected crop damage due to untimely rains. He visited farmlands in Gamach, Gudla and Gudli villages and took stock of damage caused to paddy and soybean crops. The farmers demanded a compensation of their damaged crops from the speaker, following which, the speaker directed the SDM to conduct a survey and assess the damage caused to crops by rains. During his visit, Taleda Pradhan Rajesh Raipuria and other local leaders submitted a memorandum to LS Speaker regarding problems of the area.
