BAR AND BENCH ARE COMPLIMENTARY TO EACH OTHER, SAYS OUTGOING CJ SS SHINDE

Jodhpur: Chief Justice of Rajasthan High court SS Shinde said that the Bar and the Bench are complementary to each other and justice can be envisaged only with the cooperation of both. While speaking at the farewell reference organized in the Court Room in Jodhpur on his retirement, Justice Shinde praised both Maharashtra and Rajasthan and said that he has leant a lot in life.

“One gets to see a truly unique confluence of ‘Khamma Ghani’ and ‘Padharo Mhare Des’. Rajasthan has kept the history alive through forts or monuments,” he said. Justice Shinde advised the new advocates to do hard work and learn more. He said that judicial officers in the state are doing better work while they lack adequate facilities, and are trying to dispose of the cases. In the farewell reference, senior judge MM Srivastava read the reference first, followed by Advocate General MS Singhvi on behalf of the state. Several judges of the high court were present during the ceremony. On the other hand, NHAI and Jodhpur Pollution Control body organised a plantation drive outside the high court. Justice Shinde launched the drive by planting a Himalaya fan palm.
