Ashes of Gurjar leader late Col Kirori Singh Bainsla immersed in Pushkar Lake

Pushkar: To unite the castes of the MBC class, before the ashes of Colonel Bainsla were immersed in the Pushkar Sarovar, the ‘Samajik Mahakumbh’ organised at the Mela Ground, became a political arena. Shockingly, during the address of the State Government’s ministers, the crowd in the public meeting protested heavily and even threw slippers. To pay last farewell to Gurjar leader Col Bainsla, his son Vijay Bainsla took out the ‘Kalash Yatra’ across the State and on Monday, on the birth anniversary of late Col Bainsla, his ashes were immersed in the Pushkar Sarovar.

However, the organisers, who called the entire event a social event, were blown away when Devasthan Minister Shakuntala Rawat reached the stage to address. People strongly opposed her. Angry people threw shoes at Sports Minister Ashok Chandna as he reached the stage to address. Both the ministers opposed it and accused of turning the programme into a political arena. Shakuntala Rawat, while paying tribute to Colonel Bainsla, announced the opening of a girls’ college in his name. BJP State President Satish Poonia took a jibe at opposition saying that everyone is aware of society’s sentiments. There were fierce clashes between cops & masses. During the event, slogans were raised hailing Sachin Pilot which made other politicians ‘uncomfortable’.
