‘Achieve 50% gross enrollment ratio’

Kota: Governor Kalraj Mishra, while addressing the All India Open University Vice-Chancellor’s Conference organized by Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota on Sunday, emphasized on planned and coordinated efforts to achieve the target of taking the gross enrollment ratio in higher education to 50 percent by the year 2035 under the NEP. He said that for this university education has to be made accessible to towns, villages and remote areas.

Mishra stressed on educating girls and said that more opportunities should be provided at the university level. Expressing happiness over the state govt reimbursing 100 percent fees of all girl students studying in Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, he said that enrollment of girls has increased considerably due to this.
