6 kgs heroin smuggled with a drone, 5 arrested

Sri Ganganagar: In a joint operation, the Border Security Force, the intelligence unit of Rajasthan police and the Sri Ganganagar police arrested five people with 6 kgs of heroin on Wednesday. Police said that the drugs were brought from Pakistan with the help of a drone in Manjhiwala village at Sri Karanpur International Border.

“The team was working on some specific inputs and following the leads, the arrests were made. The accused identified as Veerpal Singh, Surendar Raisikh and Sona Singh are residents of Sri Ganganagar. While two other smugglers, Goru and Jagga, are natives of Punjab. The accused were arrested from different locations along with 6 kgs of heroin and Rs. 2.5 lakh cash. The police have also seized a car,” said SP Anand Sharma. The accused are being interrogated.
