2024 LS election will decide future of the nation: Priyanka

Alwar/Dausa: Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday said the talks about amendment in the Constitution is being raised by the BJP because they want to snatch people’s rights. The AICC General Secretary said after 10 yrs of PM Modi rule at Centre and false promises, his speeches sound shallow to her.

“Talks about amendment in Constitution is being raised by BJP because they want to snatch the people’s rights. And they want to do it in a manner that you don’t even realise that it is happening,” Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said. The Congress leader said that this general election of the country is an election to save Constitution. Priyanka was addressing an election meet in Bandikui (Dausa). Earlier, Priyanka did a road show in support of the party candidate in Alwar in support of Cong candidate Lalit Yadav.

Referring to PM Modi’s speech, she criticized his rhetoric as increasingly shallow due to unfulfilled promises over ten years, leading to rising unemployment and inflation. She highlighted concerns about BJP members’ talk of amending the Constitution to curb rights, emphasising the Constitution’s role in protecting citizens. Priyanka Gandhi stressed the upcoming election’s significance, framing it as pivotal for safeguarding constitutional rights against threats posed by those advocating constitutional changes.

She urged voters to prioritise issues over distractions, likening the focus needed to that of Arjun in the Mahabharat, urging citizens to recognise their contributions to the nation amidst perceived government neglect.
