Neetu Kapoor Alia is an uncorrupted and pure person

Neetu Kapoor is an evergreen beauty with a powerful acting skill that reaches the bottom of the heart effortlessly. The actress is now coming up with her comeback film ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ and it seems that she never left the camera. Neetu Kapoor spoke with City First about her upcoming film, Rishi Kapoor and more in a candid chat.

Talking about her comeback Neetu exclaimed, “Once an actor always an actor!” But she further added that her confidence had dipped over her career break. “I had not worked for a long time and also went through my husband’s loss. When the movie was halfway through, I was telling myself that it was not my cup of tea. Then, the lockdown happened and in that time period, I did some reality shows. That gave me the push that I needed. So, when we started filming again, I was more mentally prepared,” she said. She added, “Being an actress is like a job. It keeps you busy and mentally preoccupied. I am alone and my kids are married. So, if I stay at home, I will be sad thinking about my past, my life and my husband.”

The actress shared that Rishi Kapoor married her due to her simple personality. “He had so many beautiful women around him. I always asked him why he married me. Rishiji said, ‘those women were so immersed in themselves. You are a normal human being and I like normal’,” she hilariously said. While the film talks about divorce, Neetu Kapoor saved her marriage from several trials and tribulations. Talking about that, she said, “Maybe it was my love for him and his family. Because I have known only Rishi Kapoor ever since I was a child. I was 14 when he came into my life and after that, he became my person. I say that if you love your husband, you love his family. I have a relationship with every member of his household. I had a great relationship with my mother-in-law and I miss her more than I miss Rishiji. She was a very beautiful and radiant lady. I could very easily call her and complain - YOUR SON DID THIS!” Talking about her relationship with Ranbir and Alia, Neetu spoke, “Ranbir balances his love between Alia and me. He is not very clingy. But he calls me once in five days to check up on me and that is enough for me. No matter where I was in the world, I used to call Ranbir or my mother-in-law for all my problems. Alia is a lovely, beautiful, simple, uncorrupted and pure human being. You know what is going through her mind through her face and that I feel is nice.” She mentioned that she consulted Alia and Ranbir when she took up Jugjugg Jeeyo. “I was nervous and consulted Ranbir and Alia as they are excellent actors. They were like, ‘It’s nothing. Just learn your lines’. They would give me courage.”
