FESTIVAL OF LOVE AND COLOURS!

Holi, one of India’s most joyful holidays, puts a smile on people’s faces. The festival of colours is also seen as a victory of good over evil. It’s time to let go of all inhibitions, savour the thrill of youthful flirtations, and rejoice in the beauty of life. Holi is unquestionably a rowdy occasion that is celebrated with tremendous zeal and vigour across India.

However, if you want to enjoy traditional Holi, go to Barasana, Vrindavan, Mathura, or Braj Bhumi. A large number of people from all over the w o r l d come to witnessthis grand occasion. Although Holi has a set date, the festivities begin on Basant Panchami and last until the day of Holi (Phalgun Purnima).

Holi traditions are largely based on the Radha and Krishna legends.

All of Vrindavan’s, Mathura’s, and the neighbouring districts’ Holi celebrations are built on their eternal love and joyous coquetry. Holi is primarily a continuation and celebration of stories in Vrindavan, Barsana, and Mathura.

Holi is celebrated in Vrindavan Mathura for more than a week and is not limited to a single day. Various occasions are commemorated in various locations. Ladoo Wali, Holi, Barsana Brij Bhoomi locals celebrate Holi with flowers and Laddoos, despite the fact that Holi is essentially a colour festival.

The Phag Amantran Utsav is the name given to this festival. In the temple, bright yellow Bundi Laddoos are flung at each other.

The entire landscape is bathed in a golden hue. Krishna’s favourite colour is yellow, after all. Lathmar Holi, Barsana and Nandgaon Lathmar Holi is the name given to the celebration.

During Holi, Krishna would travel to Barsana to visit Radha. He was always taunting R a d h a and her friends. The Gopis and R a d h a were so enraged that they chased and battered Krishna and his comrades with lathis. During this moment, there is electric energy in the air.

Chaddimar Holi, Gokul Gokul, a tiny hamlet on the left bank of the Yamuna River, celebrates Chhadimar Holi. Sri Krishna spent his early years at Gokul as a newborn and toddler. Krishna is so considered a newborn in Gokul.

The child Krishna is shown on a Jhoola or swing in most of Gokul’s temples. Holi is celebrated when a parade of kid Krishna on Jhoola is carried through the town. Holi is known as Chhadimar Holi because people play it with little sticks called Chhadi.

Lathmar Holi is a milder variant of the Hindu festival of Holi. Phoolowali Holi Holi is known as Phoolonwali Holi in Vrindavan, and it is celebrated with flowers rather than colours.

At Basanta Utsav in Shantiniketan, Holi is celebrated with dry colours or gulaal, however, it was fun to observe the celebration with flowers. On the Ekadashi preceding Holi, Phoolonwali Holi is celebrated at the Benke Bihari temple in Vrindavan. Visitors to the temple are pelted with flowers by temple priests.
