5-DAY HANDLOOM Exhibition cum Sale

A five-day ‘Handloom Exhibition-cum Sale’ commenced on Wednesday at Hathkargha Bhawan at Chaumun House. Neha Giri, Chairman and Managing Director of RHDC, inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon. He said that the corporation would soon sell handloom and handicrafts garments through its dedicated website. With this, customers will be able to easily buy clothes made by excellent weavers and artisans anywhere. Giri said that in the exhibition more than 20 varieties of garments are made by National Awardees and excellent weavers and artisans. The Chairman of the Corporation said that the hard work of the weavers is reflected in the handloom-made clothes, it is also a historical heritage. He said that the textiles made by handloom are ecofriendly and the use of these fabrics is also an important requirement of the present scenario.
