Uphold law & order during polls: CS

Jaipur: A meeting was held at the Government Secretariat on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Usha Sharma over preparations for the forthcoming elections.

In the meeting, Dharmendra Sharma, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India apprised the CS about the Collectors-SP review meeting and law and order, facilities at polling stations, sensitive polling stations, polling percentage, and other key points regarding the preparations for the state assembly elections.

“We are working with commitment to conduct the upcoming assembly elections in a free and fair manner. All the departments of the state are working efficiently in mutual coordination,” she said. The CS also directed the officials of the concerned departments that there should be no shortage of any work related to the elections and that proper law and order should be ensured during the election process.
