Tonk, Jaisalmer sizzle at 45°C as heat intensifies in State
Jaipur: Tonk and Jaisalmer were the hottest on Saturday with mercury touching 45 degrees Celsius in both the places. Streets in Tonk wore a deserted look due to the heat wave. The rise in temperature has increased the demand for coolers, fridges, ACs and other electronic appliances.
In Jaisalmer, hot winds blew at a speed of 10 kilometre per hour.
In Chittorgarh, for the second time the maximum temperature of the district crossed 43 degrees Celsius. According to the weather department, heat would intensify in the state for one or two weeks. The temperature here is expected to touch 44-45 degrees Celsius.
Notably, on May 9, the temperature in several parts of the State had crossed 43 degrees Celsius.
