THREE YEARS OF ‘SUCCESS AND FAILURE’

Jaipur: BJP State president Satish Poonia upon completion of his three years in office wrote a letter to the workers, in which he mentioned the performance of the last three years. In his four-page much talked-about emotional tweet, Poonia wrote, “I agree that we had some strategic weakness in the by-elections. But, we made up for that by securing a majority in Panchayati Raj, especially in the Zilla Parishad, and for the first time an opposition party got a historic edge. Success and failure are the truth of life.” He also talked about his future as party’s state president and preparations for the assembly elections.

Poonia wrote, “Not only the assembly byelections, elections to the Rajya Sabha elections, mayor, municipal, panchayat samiti pradhans, BJP lost to the Congress. However, it is also true that only in the district chief elections, BJP won by taking the lead over Congress.” Poonia tweeted that he has no ambitions for himself. “However, as a party president, I want to work in a direction where the party gets two-third majority in Rajasthan. For this, I am working with all my energy, dedication and effort. I constantly want to serve people. Maintain the dignity of the slogans. Do not raise slogans which gives an opportunity to the opposition parties to criticise. I would like the workers to cooperate with me,” he tweeted.
