Third phase of e-waste collection drive launched

Jaipur: The third phase of the ‘e-waste collection drive’ was launched at the headquarters of Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board. State Board President Veenu Gupta flagged off the vehicles for e-waste collection drive.

Divisional Chief Environment Engineer Dr Vijay Singhal informed that in this campaign, an ‘e-waste collection’ drive will be organised for various industrial areas and residential colonies/ residential welfare associations, shopping malls and other commercial institutions of Ajmer, Pali, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu and Sikar.

In drive, which will run from March 2-15, e-waste will be collected from industrial units by authorized dismantlers/recyclers of e-waste and they will also be given suitable incentives and certificates for this.

Continuous monitoring of this drive will be done at the level of concerned office of the state board.
