Arvinder Raina redefines musical excellence with the release of 'Chandni' music album

Renowned Composer and Music Director Arvinder Raina once again showcases his extraordinary talent with the release of the enchanting music video album ‘Chandni’, featuring Bollywood legend singer Kumar Sanu and rising star singer Kamal Chopra, launched by YNR Originals. This musical masterpiece, seamlessly blending classic romance with contemporary sounds, highlights Raina's exceptional ability to craft timeless compositions that resonate deeply with listeners.


Raina, a vital force in the music industry since his Bollywood debut in 1999, made his mark with an album featuring songs penned by him and performed by an array of renowned singers. Two songs were sung by Ram Shankar, two by playback singer Roopkumar Rathore, two by Dilraj Kaur, one by singer and composer Tochi Raina, and one by Raina himself. Released by Bombino Music, the music video for the title track, ‘Dil Mera Dub Dub Jave’, featured actor Nasir Khan, son of legendary actor Johnny Walker.


Arvinder Raina's latest project ‘Chandni’, saw him take complete creative charge, overseeing everything from video production to composition and music direction. His deep involvement in every facet of the project, alongside his creative partner Mridul, highlights his multifaceted expertise. Reflecting on the experience, Raina shared, "Creating the music for ‘Chandni’ has been a wonderful journey. My goal was to blend the timeless appeal of romantic melodies with modern musical elements, and I’m incredibly proud of the result. Working with legends like Kumar Sanu and rising talents like Kamal Chopra has been an absolute honour."
Currently based in Malaysia, Raina’s career has been marked by collaborations with some of the industry’s most respected music directors. With a strong foundation in classical music, shaped by his extensive studies, he has consistently infused his compositions with soul and depth, believing that "music should connect with your soul, and the instruments in the background play a large role in that charm." For ‘Chandni’, Raina and his team intricately selected high-quality instruments to elevate the emotional resonance of the track, ensuring that it would captivate audiences both sonically and visually.
Raina’s extensive background is not limited to Bollywood. His work extends to Malaysia, where he is closely associated with Shri Dashmesh International School in Kuala Lumpur where he works as a music teacher. This school is known globally for its prestigious Sikh Pipe Band.
A recipient of the Vima Music Award for "Best Singer" in Southeast Asia in 2013, Arvinder Raina's contributions to the world of music are vast and diverse. He has organized numerous classical music concerts in Malaysia, with the upcoming ‘Bhai Mardana International Music Festival’— scheduled for December 4-5, 2024, set to feature performances by esteemed classical artists from around the globe.
In addition to his work on ‘Chandni’, Raina is also poised to launch a Malaysian Tamil movie featuring renowned South Indian singer Nikhil Mathew. His commitment to the music industry, both in Bollywood and internationally, continues to grow, cementing his position as a visionary in the world of music.
The music video for ‘Chandni’, shot in Mumbai and Chandigarh, marks a milestone in Raina’s career. His collaboration with Kumar Sanu, whose iconic romantic ballads defined the 90s, and Kamal Chopra, known for her versatility in Western music and now making her Hindi debut, has created a song that promises to captivate fans old and new. The video reflects Raina’s unique vision, where classic romance is reimagined through a modern lens, offering a fresh yet nostalgic experience.
