TEMPERS FLARE IN HOUSE OVER COW CESS AS MEMBERS ARGUE

DHARIWAL SAID RS 111 CR WOULD BE SPENT ON SETTING UP NANDI GAUSHALAS IN EACH BLOCK

Jaipur: Heated arguments were exchanged in the House on Thursday over the issue of cow cess.

MLA Sanyam Lodha sought details from the govt regarding the amount and expenditure collected from cow cess during the last three years. In response, Shanti Dhariwal presented the district wise figures.

Lodha was not satisfied with the response and sought answers by asking several questions one after the other.

Speaker Dr CP Joshi intervened and reprimanded Lodha and urged him to sit down but Lodha continued to argue Joshi too.

LoP Gulab Chand Kataria also took a jibe at the Dhariwal’s reply saying Dhariwal is not giving direct answers and manipulating the figures.

Dhariwal also took a jibe and mentioned 20% cess on liquor during the Raje govt in the year 2018. Dhariwal said Rs 111 crore would be spent on setting up Nandi Gaushalas in each block. Along with this, money is also made available for the cow shelters.
