Swiggy, First India+ to launch nationwide charter for delivery partner safety today

Jaipur: In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, Swiggy will be launching a nationwide charter for delivery partner safety, “Delivering Safely,” at Jaipur today to bolster its commitment towards the safety of its delivery partners. The Swiggy road safety programme in collaboration with 1st India Plus as the event partner, would be launched by Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Prem Chand Bairwa in the presence of Rohit Kapoor CEO, of Food Marketplace, Swiggy and Pawan Arora, CEO and Managing Editor of First India News channel, First India English Newspaper, & First India Plus Entertainment (Events). As per Transport Dept’s data, “Road accidents in Raj increased by 13% from 2021 to 2022 while deaths increased by 11%. Road accidents are completely avoidable if road safety practices are implemented. “While we are doing our part in bringing convenience to consumers, to do this safely is paramount. Through a comprehensive road safety charter that spans educating, energizing, and equipping our fleet with the right training and gear, Swiggy will continue to deliver safety for our partners,” said Rohit Kapoor.
